The New York Giants went through the first five rounds of the 2017 NFL Draft without selecting a single offensive lineman. It was a bold decision on the part of general manager Jerry Reese, who was expected to select a pass-blocker early in the process.
Thankfully, two of the most embattled players on the roster appear to be making progress at the primary positions of need.
According to Pro Football Focus, the Giants had the worst combination of offensive tackles in the NFL during the 2016 season. That duo of Ereck Flowers and Bobby Hart have youth on their side, but upside only appeals for so long.
