That’s the funny thing about criticism, sometimes it can be a constructive force for improvement. The New York Giants didn’t get to 1-7 by happenstance, and they didn’t get to 3-7 by chance either. In both cases, we can look at quarterback play as an important component of both streaks.
Now the Eli Manning defenders will point to this week’s completion percentage, and turnover-less effort in beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. And guess what? You would be correct in that assessment.
And unless you are wearing blinders, these same fans have to also acknowledge that Manning has stepped up his play since the bye week.
