One guy who opened plenty of eyes at the NFL Scouting Combine was Mississippi State defensive end Montez Sweat. According to NFL.com, Sweat ran his forty-yard dash in a blazing 4.41 seconds in Indianapolis. His measurables thrust him into the discussion as a top 10 overall selection on draft day. The New York Giants hold the No. 6 overall selection in next month’s NFL Draft.
On Sunday, however, it was reported that tests taken at the combine revealed a heart condition that was previously not made public. It’s been categorized, in some media reports, as a pre-existing condition, so perhaps it has been detected by doctors but kept under wraps.
