According to Jeff Legwold of ESPN, the Denver Broncos are already working to meet with former New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz, who was released on Monday.
Cruz has spent the last seven years with the Giants, playing less than 60% of the time due to injury.
This past season, he caught just 39 passes and one touchdown in 15 games, showing signs of his age (30) and declining ability after missing 26 straight games prior to the start of the 2016 season.
Denver has the likes of Emmanuel Sanders, Demaryius Thomas, and Cody Latimer under contract but are in search of a slot receiver – Cruz fits that role.
