New York Giants Decide Against Activating Jonathan Stewart

According to Dan Duggan of The Athletic, the New York Giants have decided against activating running back Jonathan Stewart from Injured Reserve.

Stewart signed a two-year deal in the offseason to serve as a complement to Saquon Barkley.

But he lasted only 17 snaps this season before having his season end due to a foot injury.

The team could save slightly less than $3 million in cap space by releasing him this offseason.

Which seems like a given based on his age and irrelevance.
