The New York Giants defense simply did not show up to play in the team’s 17-0 loss to the Tennessee Titans last week.
The run defense especially, as the Titans racked up 215 yards on the ground. 170 of which were from Titans running back Derrick Henry.
To say the least, Giants defensive coordinator James Bettcher was not happy with the defensive performance. The main issue in his mind was the effort and success from a tackling standpoint.
“We didn’t tackle as well as we needed to tackle,” Bettcher said Thursday, per Dan Martin of the New York Post.
