The New York Giants‘ young quarterbacks took the spotlight on Friday night in Detroit, as Davis Webb and Kyle Lauletta led the team to 24 points, helping the Giants (1-1) secure a 30-17 victory over the Detroit Lions. Eli Manning got the night off, and the pair combined for 167 yards and two touchdowns between them.
After Detroit (0-2) went up 3-0, the Giants appeared to be buried further when ex-Giant Devon Kennard broke away from an Ereck Flowers block to swipe at the ball in Webb’s hand. Originally ruled a fumble, the Lions seemed to be set up pretty at the cusp of the Giants’ goal line, but a review transformed the turnover into an incomplete pass.
