According to The Athletic’s Dan Duggan, the New York Giants have released linebacker Calvin Munson from their practice squad.
In return, they have added offensive tackle Brian Mihalik to fill Munson’s spot on the squad.
Munson started five games for the Giants last season, recording 60 tackles, two sacks, and impressing as an undrafted rookie.
Mihalik was originally a seventh-round draft by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2015 and has since played for three other teams.
He spent the 2017 season with the Detroit Lions, starting two games.
The Giants only have one backup tackle on the roster (Chad Wheeler), so a move like this isn’t too surprising.
