Ever since Dave Gettleman took over the reins as the New York Giants’ general manager, he’s been on a quest to fill the trenches with his beloved “hog mollies”. Usually when Gettleman refers to that moniker he’s referring to his interior lineman – the guards and centers.
This year in camp, the Giants have four centers: Jon Halapio, Spencer Pulley, Evan Brown and James O’Hagan. Halapio was the starting center last year before breaking his ankle in Week 2. He was eventually replaced by Pulley, who had been picked up off the waiver wire from the Los Angeles Chargers right before the season.
