If there’s one word that haunts the New York Giants every season, it’s injury. After the Giants’ secondary suffered multiple injuries in last Friday’s pre-season loss against the Cincinnati Bengals, the Giants did some last minute shopping and signed longtime veteran safety, Brandon Meriweather.
The season hasn’t even started and the Giants are already worrying about injuries. Rookie safety Mykkele Thompson was forced to be cut as he suffered a torn Achilles tendon. Strong safeties Nat Berhe and this year’s second round pick Landon Collins got hit with injuries, but were both day-to-day.
