“The Winger” has done it again.
For the second consecutive week, New York Giants punter Brad Wing has won NFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors.
This past week against the Detroit Lions, Wing downed two punts inside the 20-yard line, both landing inside the five-yard line.
He averaged a net of 41 yards, including a punt that was blocked and traveled only 19 yards.
Wing becomes the first Giant to ever win back-to-back Special Teams Player of the Week awards.
Since we all saw Wing’s braces for the first time on November 20, he’s downed 14 punts inside the 20-yard line and won two Player of the Week awards during that five-game span.
