The New York Giants have added quarterback Keith Wenning to their practice squad in a late season addition. His signing is likely an insurance move by the team, as current backup signal callers Josh Johnson and Ryan Nassib are both slated to become free agents in 2017.
During his four-year collegiate career at Ball State, Wenning posted totals of 1,035 competitions for 11,402 passing yards with 92 touchdowns to 42 interceptions. With his gaudy touchdown numbers, he became one of only 33 NCAA Division I FBS quarterbacks with at least 90 career passing touchdowns.
