In a week where they lost one of their defensive line staples, the New York Giants learned they will be without one of their newcomers to open the 2018 season.
Defensive lineman Josh Mauro, who signed a one-year deal with the team last week, has been suspended for the first four games of this upcoming year for violating NFL performance enhancing substance policies.

The Giants were reportedly aware of a possible suspension when they inked Mauro to a team-friendly $880,000 deal last week.
