Tom Coughlin is a good man who certainly gave the Giants their money’s worth by adding two Super Bowl trophies to the collection. This is not how it’s supposed to end for him.
If Sunday is indeed his final game as the Giants coach after four straight non-playoff seasons, the last three with losing records, which followed his second Super Bowl title, then GM Jerry Reese deserves to go with him. It has been Reese’s poor drafts — okay, he hit it big on Odell Beckham Jr. — and dreadful free agent signings that have provided Coughlin with rosters so flawed it would get Vince Lombardi fired.
