The New York Giants fired offensive line coach Marc Colombo earlier in the week after Colombo was told that Dave DeGuglielmo was being brought in as a consultant to help him coach the offensive line.
Colombo wasn’t happy and had some strong words for Judge which is why he was fired.
NFL Insider Michael Silver reported on Friday that Judge and Colombo’s beef all started weeks ago during a practice session in which Judge corrected the technique of center Nick Gates. Colombo apparently disagreed and Judge lashed out at him.
Silver also mentioned that the Giants’ offensive line really liked playing for Colombo, so Judge firing him likely isn’t a popular move for a portion of the locker room.
