What the New York Giants didn’t know was who would be their starting free safety entering the 2018 season. Through three preseason games and training camp, the G-Men have yet to find the answer.
Curtis Riley is currently listed as the starter on the team’s unofficial depth chart, but he has yet to lock down the full-time role. Darian Thompson started all 16 games for the Giants last season, and Andrew Adams showed plenty of promise as an undrafted rookie out of UConn in 2016.
All three have valid arguments to be New York’s starting free safety come Week 1.
