On Nov. 28 at MetLife Stadium the New York Giants will make official what they have made obvious eve since he retired after the 2007 season — no Giant will ever again wear Michael Strahan’s No. 92 jersey.
Appropriately, the Giants will be hosting the Philadelphia Eagles on the day they retire Strahan’s jersey.
“Michael Strahan was one of the greatest players in franchise history,” said John Mara, the Giants president and chief executive officer. “He deserves to have his number retired as other Giants immortals have, including Mel Hein, Frank Gifford and Lawrence Taylor.
