In an effort to make safety practices more efficient, walk-through metal detectors have been installed at all gates at MetLife Stadium for upcoming events, including preseason and regular-season home games for the Jets and Giants.
The walk-through magnetometers will replace the hand-held wands previously used by stadium security.
"The safety and security of our guests has always been our utmost priority," MetLife Stadium director of security and safety services Daniel DeLorenzi said in a press release. "The addition of walk-through magnetometers is part of the progression of stadium security and adds to our already robust public safety and security procedures.
