Matthew Peart removed from PUP list

New York Giants’ right tackle Matthew Peart started training camp out on the physically unable to perform list with a back injury.

The good news though that is Peart didn’t even miss a full week of practice after the Giants activated him on Saturday from the PUP list.

Peart is expected to be the Giants’ starting right tackle when the season starts, but he will have to beat out veteran Nate Solder. Peart had a very strong rookie season and even outplayed former first round pick Andrew Thomas for most of 2020.

New York’s offensive line isn’t expected to play great this coming season if you ask the “experts,’ but they have a lot of potential and got a little stronger after signing former Dallas Cowboys’ offensive lineman Joe Looney on Saturday.
