Mark Herzlich’s tight end experiment helps at 2 positions

Mark Herzlich has been a Giant longer than anyone except Eli Manning, Zak DeOssie and Jason Pierre-Paul. But that doesn’t mean the seventh-year pro can’t learn a few new things at this week’s OTAs.

The special-teams standout and reserve linebacker is now an aspiring tight end. He looks the part, wearing No. 44 instead of his familiar 94.

“I think it’s going well,” Herzlich told The Post as he promoted the Great Cycle Challenge USA, which raises awareness and funding for pediatric cancer. “I didn’t know the [offensive] playbook at all. Learning the entire thing is fun and exciting, and it’s actually helping me on defense, too.
