NEW YORK (WFAN) — Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz says his ankle injury isn’t serious and he has a chance to return Monday night against the Bengals.
An MRI revealed that Cruz has a low-grade ankle sprain. He suffered the injury in the second quarter of Sunday’s win over the Eagles when cornerback Leodis McKelvin landed on the receiver’s right ankle while making a tackle from behind on Cruz’s 46-yard reception.
“It is a little sore today, I’m not going to lie,” Cruz said during his weekly appearance on Mike Francesa’s WFAN show Tuesday.
