NEW YORK (WFAN) — Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz didn’t want to speak in detail about the team’s decision to release kicker Josh Brown, but he did seem to endorse the move, calling domestic violence “disgusting.”
“I feel the organization did what they had to do,” Cruz said during his weekly appearance on Mike Francesa’s WFAN show on Tuesday. “Domestic violence is, like I said earlier, disgusting and something I want to stay far away from. So it’s unfortunate to see him go, but it is what it is.”
Brown was cut Tuesday, days after police in Washington released writings by the Pro Bowl kicker in which he admitted to physically and verbally abusing his now-estranged wife, Molly.
