More help for the Giants’ beleaguered offensive line may soon be on the way.
Jake Long, the oft-injured former No. 1 overall pick, arrived in New Jersey on Wednesday morning for his second free-agent visit with the Giants, an NFL source confirmed. And it’s possible that if the 30-year-old’s troublesome right knee checks out, he could sign a contract by the time training camp opens on Thursday morning.
The health of that knee remains a big issue, though. Long, who was the first overall pick in the 2008 draft, tore the ACL in his right knee last October – his second tear of the same ACL in less than a year.
