With New York Giants’ defensive lineman Leonard Williams getting ready to hit the open market as a free agent, he’s filed a grievance with the NFLPA because he wants to be labeled as a defensive end and not a defensive tackle.
The reason for this is that defensive end’s have a higher monetary value as NFL players and that will help him earn a higher salary if the New York Giants end up deciding to use the franchise tag on him. Jeremy Fowler of ESPN did a good job of explaining the situation.
I think Williams has a case because he did just rack up 11.
