Lawrence Taylor says the loss of Jason Pierre-Paul’s right index finger should not prevent him from rushing the passer and the bigger problem will be the condition of his right thumb.
“Me personally, I think I can overcome anything,” Taylor said Sunday as the Super Bowl XXV team gathered for its 25th reunion at MetLife Stadium. “You got to play the cards you are dealt, then you go from that. I don’t like folding. I’m going to play the hand out regardless. I don’t really worry about things like that.”
JPP had his right index finger amputated and his right thumb was fractured after a July 4 fireworks accident.
