Here we go again.
It didn't take long for the injury bug to bit the New York Giants. A pair of rookie safeties -- Landon Collins and Mykkele Thompson -- went down before the first half of Saturday's preseason opener with the Cincinnati Bengals -- hand concluded.
Collins reportedly had X-rays of his knee. Media at the game said Collins, the team's second-round draft pick, returned to the bench following the X-rays.
Thompson collapsed on a second-quarter punt by the Giants. He was carted off with what was reported to be an Achilles injury.
