LANDOVER, Md. — Landon Collins is on pace to set a career high for tackles in his first season with the Redskins.
Collins had 125 tackles back in 2016 in his second year with the Giants. It was a breakthrough season for Collins, who had four sacks and five interceptions and stamped himself as one of the NFL’s best young safeties.
His performance the next two years did not live up to those exploits, and the Giants did not pursue their 2015 second-round pick in free agency. Collins cashed in on the open market with a six-year, $84 million deal and is finishing up his first season with the Redskins.
