The New York Giants are signing veteran Landon Collins to their active roster.
Head coach Brian Daboll told reporters about the news on Thursday morning, confirming a move that was widely expected after the release of Tae Crowder on Tuesday.
It shouldn’t be much of a surprise that Collins being added to the 53-man roster is the corresponding move to Crowder’s release. The veteran safety turned linebacker was active in the Giants’ win over the Washington Commanders, with several important plays coming downhill in the running game.
This is, obviously, Collins’ second stint with the Giants after the team moved up to draft him at the top of the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
