Former Giants defensive end Justin Tuck has spoken with Jason Pierre-Paul and believes Pierre-Paul can come back and play at a high level even after his right index finger had to be amputated following a fateful July 4 fireworks accident.
“Once he gets used to playing again, you can’t deny his athletic ability,’’ Tuck told reporters on Monday at the Newark Mentoring Charity Golf event in Jersey City. “He’s a terror to block. Hopefully everything else gets healthy around him, and if that is the case, I don’t see any reason why he wouldn’t be the JPP of the second half of the season like he was last year.
