Julian Love looking to impact Giants after draft downer

When it comes down to it, Julian Love got bad advice. Whoever convinced the Notre Dame cornerback to give up his senior year of eligibility and enter the 2019 NFL draft overestimated his value and likely cost Love a lot of money.

Sure, it probably seemed like the right decision at the time. Love had helped the Fighting Irish to an unbeaten regular season and a spot in the College Football Playoff. He was a consensus All-American and a finalist for the Jim Thorpe Award in recognition as the top defensive back in the nation. He’d been a three-year starter and set a Notre Dame record for career pass break-ups.
