Jason Pierre-Paul is vowing a comeback.
The Giants defensive end has been mostly out of sight since a July 4 fireworks incident cost him his right index finger, but Pierre-Paul promised his position coach in a recent text message he is “going to get myself right, and I’ll be back.”
Big Blue defensive line coach Robert Nunn revealed Friday he has been in regular contact with Pierre-Paul since the former first-round pick ended his silence with the team last week.
“I’ve spoken to him on the phone [and] texted him back and forth, mostly about things other than football,” Nunn said as the Giants opened their second week of training camp.
