Jason Pierre-Paul was back in the locker room Friday, smiling and laughing as the media approached to speak with him for the first time since the July 4 fireworks incident, which resulted in the amputation of his right index finger and loss of part of his thumb.
“The day I walked in here I already won,” Pierre-Paul said. “People said I was gonna be out for the whole season and I knew what kind of effort I put in in the offseason way before this happened. Just coming back, I already won.
