The Giants traveling party that flew to South Florida this week to check on injured defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul has departed without ever being granted an audience, The Post confirmed.
As of Wednesday afternoon, Pierre-Paul still was being treated for hand injuries at the Jackson Memorial Medical Center in Miami, some four days after damaging both of his hands in a fireworks accident on July 4.
“It [his status] hasn’t changed,” hospital spokesperson Lidia Amoretti said.
An ESPN report Wednesday had termed the Giants contingent — believed to include trainer Ronnie Barnes and former linebacker Jessie Armstead — as “not welcomed there.
