Josh Brown apologizes to Giants, John Mara in statement

Josh Brown issued a statement to ESPN on Tuesday, apologizing to the Giants and John Mara for having his actions question their “character and integrity” and saying he is trying to become “the voice of change, not a statistic” regarding domestic violence.

The statement, which the Giants confirmed came from Brown, was issued on a day in which the front office is meeting to decide Brown’s future with the organization. The kicker is currently on the commissioner’s exempt list while the NFL continues its re-opened investigation into him.

Documents released last week show Brown admitting to abusing his wife, Molly, over the course of years through journal entries and a letter to friends.
