Whenever an NFL team starts the season, the last thing they want is for their back-up quarterback to have to play because of course that would mean that their starter would have to get injured.
For the New York Giants, their back-up quarterback Colt McCoy had to start in two of their 16 games because of Daniel Jones going down with multiple injuries late in the season. Big Blue went 1-1 during McCoy’s two starts. His one win came on the road against a very good Seattle Seahawks team. The loss was against a hot Cleveland Browns team, but I do have to say that McCoy looked pretty good under center.
