John Michael Schmitz had an OK rookie season after the New York Giants selected him in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft. The always offensive line-challenged Giants, though, likely want more than OK play from Schmitz.
Jon Runyan Jr., a veteran guard acquired in free agency to help anchor the middle of the Giants’ offensive line, seems to believe the Giants might be about to get exactly that.
“It has really been amazing playing next to John Michael,” Runyan said after a recent OTA. “If I would’ve came in here not knowing his background, I would’ve thought he was a five-year veteran.
