The concussion blame game was rampant in the Giants locker room Friday, with Jon Beason furious at a 49ers offensive lineman and teammate Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie seemingly not pleased with the team’s medical staff or NFL rules.
Beason was knocked out early from Sunday’s 30-27 win over San Francisco by a concussion the veteran middle linebacker put squarely on Niners guard Alex Boone for illegally pushing his head into the helmet of running back Carlos Hyde.
Beason has since been cleared to return and is expected to play Monday night in Philadelphia against the Eagles, but that didn’t cool his simmering anger Friday at what he labeled a “cowardly act” by Boone.
