Joe Philbin to be named Giants new offensive coordinator

The last time Joe Philbin made major headlines, it was for a scandal during his time as Miami Dolphins head coach, when he somehow had no idea that the infamous "Bullygate" scandal was taking place right under his nose.

The good news: In his next stop, he'll just have to oversee an offense, not an entire team. Philbin, who was fired as head coach of the Dolphins after a 1-3 start to 2015, is expected to be named the Giants offensive coordinator, according to a source. Philbin will replace Ben McAdoo, who will be named head coach.

It's a chance for a fresh start for Philbin, whose three-plus seasons as head man in Miami were something of a train wreck.
