EAST RUTHERFORD -- Joan H. Tisch, the matriarch of one of the families that owns the Giants, died Thursday after a short illness. She was 90.
"Joan Tisch was a great lady who led an extraordinary life that touched so many people," Giants president and chief executive officer John Mara said in a team statement announcing her death. "She was an outstanding role model for her wonderful family and for all of us who knew her. We will miss her dearly."
The Giants will have a moment of silence in her honor prior to Sunday's home game against the Rams.
