FLORHAM PARK -- The Jets will be shorthanded in Saturday night's dress rehearsal against the Giants.
While coach Todd Bowles wouldn't rule anyone officially out after practice on Thursday, he implied linebacker Lorenzo Mauldin (neck) and cornerback Morris Claiborne (shoulder), along with tight ends Jordan Leggett (foot) and Jason Vander Laan (shoulder), wouldn't play. None of the four practiced this week.
Bowles did sound optimistic regarding Matt Forte. After missing most of training camp with an injured hamstring, the running back returned this week. He took part in individual and team drills, and was heavily involved in Thursday's walkthrough.
