Jay Bromley riding 'consistency,' 'hostility' in Giants' starting DT bid

EAST RUTHERFORD -- The light appears to have come on for Jay Bromley, but he's far from satisfied.

Second-round pick Dalvin Tomlinson is the team's future three-technique defensive tackle, but Bromley is doing his best to delay Tomlinson's ascension in the present.

The Queens native has been one of the early standouts of Giants camp, including a strong outing in last Friday's preseason opener against the Steelers. Bromley started at tackle and finished with three tackles, including a third-and-1 run stuff in the backfield.
