Jay Bromley has shown out during training camp so far, can he earn a starting role on the defensive line?
The New York Giants drafted former Alabama defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson in the second-round of the 2017 NFL Draft to compensate for the loss of big man, Johnathan Hankins.
Hankins was one of the better tackles in the league at stopping the run and was in search of a big-money contract after the expiration of his rookie deal last season. Big Hank went on to sign with the Indianapolis Colts on a three-year, $30 million deal.
Backup DT Jay Bromley is in a similar position this year, but the big man has struggled to find his spot on the starting team with Damon Harrison and Hankins manning the middle in recent seasons.
