Jason Pierre-Paul sent a powerful warning on the use of fireworks to his social media audience.
The former Giants star defensive end posted in anticipation of July 4 a gruesome image of his mangled hand after a fireworks accident in Florida in 2015. It shows charred skin, bandages and pins holding some fingers in place.
The incident nearly cost Pierre-Paul his right hand and his football career, but doctors managed to salvage most of four of his fingers.
Pierre-Paul missed the first half of the 2016 season and played thereafter with a heavily wrapped "club.
