The Giants could have turned their back on JPP the way he turned their back on them when he refused to let Ronnie Barnes and Jessie Armstead see him after his mindless July 4 folly — which easily could have cost him more than millions, and more than a finger on his right hand — when he listened to bad advice and kept his employers in the dark about his condition.
