Jason Garrett tests positive for COVID-19

News broke on Thursday morning that New York Giants’ offensive coordinator Jason Garrett has tested positive or COVID-19, according to Art Stapleton of NorthJersey.com.

Garrett will of course not be able to call plays this coming Sunday night against the Cleveland Browns, so tight ends coach Freddie Kitchens will take over for at least this week.

The Giants canceled their Thursday practice and will work remotely. They don’t believe that there are any high risk contacts associated with Garrett, but are waiting to hear back from the NFL.

I think Garrett has done a nice job of calling plays this season for the Giants, but there have been times where I’ve been left scratching my head.
