EAST RUTHERFORD — The Giants have a lot of big personalities and/or big stars on the practice field: Eli Manning, Odell Beckham, Saquon Barkley and Damon Harrison just to name a few.
But a case could be made for defensive coordinator James Bettcher as one of the most intriguing people to watch on a day-in and day-out basis.
Bettcher is charged with bringing pride back to a Giants defense that has ranked at or near the bottom of the NFL in two of the last three seasons. With an offensive-minded head coach who will be calling plays, the aggressive defensive philosophy certainly is being built in Bettcher's image.
