JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (CBSNewYork) — Could Tom Coughlin be returning to Jacksonville to coach the Jaguars next season?
Jacksonville general manager David Caldwell said Monday the team is interested in talking to Coughlin. NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported that there are “rumblings” that there is mutual interest.
The Jaguars (2-12) fired head coach Gus Bradley on Sunday. Offensive line coach Doug Marrone has been named the interim head coach.
Coughlin coached the expansion Jaguars from 1995-2002, leading the team to the AFC championship game in just its second season. He then spent 2004-15 with the Giants, where he won two Super Bowls.
