If the Giants have shown anything this season it is that a 2017 fifth-round draft pick who made two starts as a rookie is exactly the type of player a rebuilding team would claim off waivers.

And that history makes it all the more curious that edge rusher Avery Moss — an in-house option who fits the description above —remains on the pass-rush-starved Giants practice squad.
