EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The league’s worst run game needs a jump-start. Naturally, the New York Giants are looking at the running back with the most big-play ability on their roster.
Paul Perkins runs a 4.5 in the 40-yard dash and has some shimmy in his game. He’s flashed it at times in the first half of his rookie season, including in Sunday’s 28-23 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Perkins caught a 15-yard screen pass and had a 14-yard run in the fourth quarter. He had a career-high 14 touches (11 runs, three receptions) on 22 snaps.
