Is NFL playing cruel joke on Giants defense? Cam Newton master who can exploit Giants' biggest weakness

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Asking a defense struggling to stop the zone-read offense to slow down Cam Newton is like asking an actor who can't remember his lines to appear in a live broadcast.

Or an Uber driver with no sense of direction to turn off his GPS.

Or ... well, you get the picture.

The Giants (1-3) are staring into the face of their weakness at 1 p.m. today when they visit the Panthers (2-1) and their premier dual-threat quarterback (Newton) at Bank of America Stadium.

"When he's in the backfield and in the tackle box, you still got to treat him like a quarterback," safety Landon Collins said.
